Dartmouth Academy is urging all members of the Dartmouth and District community to take part in its rebuild consultation – because it says the whole community will benefit.
All members of the Dartmouth community are being asked to give their views on what the £8.5 million rebuild of the town’s academy should achieve.
“It started off as a consultation meeting, but in my opinion we can only consult if people are prepared to respond to questions.”
Brixham Town Councillor, Jackie Stockman, who organised The Future of Berry Head to Sharkham Point, Consultation Meeting, on the refusal of representatives from Park Holidays UK to answer questions from the the public (they didn’t want the meeting to turn into the a ‘shouting or tomato throwing match’ event).
A planning application to put gates in an alleyway in Bideport have been passed, despite 12 residents object that the pathway has been used fro more than 20 years.
Dawlish redevelopment proposals include a casino, a new enclosed pavilion with an arts cafe, a posh restaurant overlooking the railway and modernising the town centre and outlying areas, plus the sale of the town council offices – the Manor House, a 200-year-old Grade II listed building in the Manor Gardens.
