At 9am Friday, October 12, John Lewis Exeter opened its doors to customers for the first time. The shop, which has created 300 new jobs, is the retailer’s first full line flexible format department store and the largest John Lewis shop to open in 2012.

Exeter was today celebrating the news that John Lewis is to open a new department store in the city. It had been the retail giant’s intention just to open a John Lewis at Home shop on the site of the old Debenhams store on the corner of Paris Street and Sidwell Street but now it has gone one better.
